Bill’s Hatchet
Description: This hatchet was created from an old axe originally belonging to our grandfather Bill Phillips. The axe was grinded down and sharpened, then blued. The handle was carved from one piece of wood then dremeled and stained. Two holes were then drilled through the axe head and handle, then dowels were hammered in and sanded for extra strength. The wall mount was created with a solid piece of wood and old leather from Bill’s workshop.
Medium: Old axe head, wood, stain, and leather.
Artist: Josh Phillips, Special thanks to Jarod Phillips for the photography.
